Responsibilities

Position: CNC Setter/Operator (MK1) - Night Shift

Competitive hourly rate from Β£19.99 per hour (including 30.5% shift allowance) dependent upon skills in line with Grading Structure.

Due to continued growth in order book we need additional resource on our night shift.

Shift: Night Shift - Sunday to Thursday 10 pm to 6 am including 15 minute paid break and half an hour unpaid break - basic 37.5 hours per week.

Essential Functions

The key activities outlined below represent an overview only of the position of CNC Setter/Operator based on site at the Leicester Plant and should not be seen as a prescriptive list of activities. A flexible and responsive approach to this role is vital, together with the initiative in identifying and focusing on the needs of the business and its customers.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Set, Fault Find & Operate machines to produce fasteners to strict tolerances.
  • In process deburring and Self Inspection
  • To use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets required specifications.
  • Self-certification of personal work.
  • To prove out downloaded programs so they are in line with the correct timings in accordance with our manufacturing and quality standards and then to up load the proven program.
  • Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Responsible for producing SPC charts and records.
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, taking an active part in root cause analysis.

  • Undertake to train on all machines to ensure 100% flexibility in the workplace, and once fully trained to train others.
  • To actively take part in locally focused, or multi-functional continuous improvement teams.
  • Work as fully flexible team member within the Company to maximize levels of production and quality.
  • Maximize plant and resource utilization.

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Background

  • Experience of working within a busy Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience setting CNC Machines preferably DMG/Mori/CMZ/Doosan with fanuc/sieman controls
  • Aerospace experience would be advantageous.
