Competitive Hourly Rate: from £15.85 per hour (rate inclusive of 15% shift allowance) in line with Grading Structure

Shift: AM Shift 6 am to 2.30 pm Monday to Thursday and Friday early finish 11.30 am.

Prime Location: Leicester - Meridian Business Park, LE19 1WH - on site parking

The key activities outlined below represent an overview only of the position and should not be seen as a prescriptive list of activities. Specific Responsibilities:

  • To manually and accurately stamp part mark identification information onto produced parts.
  • To manually insert and fit parts to produce fasteners to strict tolerances.
  • To operate various machines in the Production department as required.
  • In process fitting of inserts and collars, test and carry out Self Inspection of parts.
  • To use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets required specifications.
  • Self-certification of personal work.
  • Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, taking an active part in root cause analysis.
  • Undertake training on various machines required to ensure 100% flexibility in the workplace, with the goal of once fully trained being prepared to train others.
  • To actively take part in locally focused, or multi-functional continuous improvement teams.
  • Work as fully flexible team member within the Company to maximize levels of production and quality.

General Company Support:

  • Maintain full compliance with Howmet policies and procedures and conduct all activities in accordance with the Howmet Guide to Business Conduct.
  • To adhere to all company EHS requirements and actively participate in the identification and elimination of hazards.
  • To undertake and promote their own self development, in line with Company and personal aims.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in the above skill.
  • Experience of working within a busy Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of Assembly process; previously Aerospace experience would be advantageous.
