The Opportunity
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our friendly Accounts team based at our Head Office in Rugby.
This is a permanent, full-time position, supporting a variety of accounting functions across the business, including Lettings, Block Management and wider client accounting activities.
Working closely with colleagues throughout the business, you will play an important role in ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining high standards of customer service and supporting compliance with accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include
- Processing and allocating incoming and outgoing payments accurately.
- Reconciling client and office bank accounts.
- Assisting with Lettings and Block Management accounting processes.
- Preparing regular financial reports and statements.
- Responding to account queries from colleagues, clients and contractors.
- Investigating and resolving account discrepancies.
- Processing banking correspondence and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Supporting month-end processes and other routine accounting tasks.
- Providing general administrative support to the Accounts team.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who has
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
- Previous experience in a similar accounts, finance or bookkeeping role.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve queries.
