Key Responsibilities
- Deliver RICS-compliant Red Book valuations for financial reporting, loan security and other purposes.
- Conduct property inspections, take accurate measurements, and carry out market, demographic and economic research.
- Undertake planning and statutory enquiries (using Valos AI), lease reviews, and analysis of comparable evidence.
- Prepare clear, well-structured valuation reports tailored to client requirements.
- Build strong market knowledge of the industrial, retail and office sectors, keeping up to date with trends and regulatory developments.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, including banks, private clients and professional advisers.
- Support business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities within the valuations sector.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance standards and risk management procedures.
- Contribute to departmental performance by achieving agreed annual targets.
Your Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in a property-related discipline.
- MRICS or FRICS qualified and RICS Registered Valuer status.
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in commercial property valuation (industrial, retail and office).
- Strong knowledge of valuation methods and secured lending requirements.
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- High level of computer literacy, including property IT systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clean Professional Indemnity record.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Experience with secured lending valuations.
- Familiarity with development appraisals, including residual valuations.
- Knowledge of tax-related valuations (inheritance tax, capital gains, etc.).
- Some experience in residential valuation.
