Chartered Surveyor (General Practice) | Atherstone/Ashby Chartered Surveyor (General Practice) 37.5 hours per week Atherstone / Ashby De La Zouch The Company: Howkins & Harrison LLP have been supporting homeowners, landowners, and landlords since 1888. We are a highly regarded and successful property & lettings agent, as well as a firm of chartered surveyors, land agents, auctioneers and valuers and are proud to be experts in each of the areas that we cover. We have 7 regional offices in the Midlands, and an office in London allowing us to work closely with clients with land & property interests throughout the Midlands & beyond The Role: We are looking for a qualified General Practice Chartered Surveyor to join our busy multidisciplined team. The successful applicant will be involved in a wide variety of tasks covering both professional commercial and residential work. This role will be based within our Rural North division set in our Atherstone and Ashby offices but cover a wide geographical area where you will work part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the department. Our existing team of Partners and qualified surveyors will offer full support where needed but you will be expected to work using your initiative both on your own and as part of a team. In this role, day to day your responsibilities will include: General professional advice such as rent reviews and lease renewals Provide Level 3 Building Surveys, Dilapidations, Party Wall Act services, and Defect Diagnostic Investigations Property Agency β marketing reports, take ons, advertising, negotiations, sales chasing. Valuations β RICS Red Book valuations on a variety of properties. Drafting pre-acquisition reports and compile demographic and comparable data Assisting with site appraisals and data management within the firmβs systems. Ensuring clients receive accurate and timely information to manage their portfolios effectively. Maintaining and enhance relationships with existing clients while contributing to business growth. Prepare comprehensive reports for property disposals (freehold and leasehold) Planning β dealing with the submission of planning applications. Development β working within a team to deliver advice to clients in relation to development, option and promotion agreements. This list is not intended to be exhaustive and you will have other duties and responsibilities that fall within the remit of the role. As your career progresses, so will the responsibility for clients and the type of work carried out, outside work you should be willing to embrace the local area and are encouraged to get involved in activities outside work which involve you in the local community. Your Skills & Qualifications: Registered RICS Valuer (preferred, but not essential) Demonstrable previous experience including agency, valuation, development, and CPO work You will be a keen, confident networker who is resourceful and capable of building and maintaining exceptional relationships with colleagues and clients.
