About The Role:
You will manage your own portfolio of not-for-profit clients, providing outsourced finance support and becoming their primary point of contact for day-to-day financial matters. The role combines management accounting, statutory accounts, and client advisory work, offering excellent variety and the opportunity to build long-term relationships while supporting organisations with meaningful social impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage your own portfolio of not-for-profit clients
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts
- Deliver outsourced finance support and advisory services
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Act as the main point of contact for client queries
- Support year-end processes and liaise with external auditors where required
- Ensure reporting deadlines are met across your portfolio
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and client reporting
The successful Management Accountant will have:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous UK accountancy practice experience
- Strong management accounting experience
- Experience preparing statutory accounts
- Experience managing a client portfolio or building client relationships
- Exposure to outsourced finance services would be advantageous
- Experience working with not-for-profit organisations would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills
- Full right to work in the UK
