Job Description

Our client, an engineering firm based in Woking, is seeking a reliable and hands-on Warehouse / Stock Assistant to join their team on a 2 week temporary basis, with the possibility of extension. This is a physical, fast-paced role involving the handling, sorting, and organisation of stock. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate logging and preparation of items for resale, storage, or recycling.

Warehouse / Stock Assistant – About The Role

  • Lift, move, and repack boxes of apparel (including luggage, t-shirts, polos, trousers, trainers, and other clothing)
  • Repack, count, and organise stock onto Euro pallets for shipment or storage
  • Maintain accurate stock records: logging sizes, quantities, and condition using paperwork and Excel spreadsheets
  • Allocate and prepare stock for the resale account
  • Identify and sort used or damaged stock for recycling
  • Support general warehouse duties as needed

The successful Warehouse / Stock Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or logistics environment
  • Comfortable with manual handling and lifting of boxes
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate stock logging and repacking
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and stock documentation
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
