About The Role:
In this role you will be reporting into the Finance Director and managing a team of 4. You will be required to manage the daily finance operations as well as supporting the Finance Director at month end. Previous management experience is essential for this role.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Preparation of management accounts, reconciliation of control accounts and analysis of variances between budget and actuals
- In conjunction with the FD, preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows
- Oversee the transactional accounting function and making sure it is running at full efficiency
- Accountability for the fixed asset register ensuring it is maintained in good order, ensuring all transactions are recorded appropriately
- Advising and monitoring of VAT implications along with preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Overseeing the Payroll function and ensuring all responsibilities are met
- Managing the finance team, leading by example and ensuring performance standards are met
- Undertaking ad hoc project work and liaising with several departments
The successful Finance Manager will have:
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Team management experience is essential
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Experience of working within small teams
