This growing, innovative organisation based on the outskirts of Godalming is looking for a part time Financial Controller to join their team. You will be joining an expanding business that is going through an exciting period and is continually looking to grow their team. This role will be offered on a part time basis, around 25 hours a week, but the hours could be more or less depending on experience. There is flexibility in how these hours are worked but the role is fully office based. About The Role
In this role you will be working within a finance team of 3 and will be reporting into the Finance Director. You will be responsible for overseeing the finance function as well as supporting the Finance Director with a variety of tasks. This will be a very hands-on role so previous experience in an SME will be crucial. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Preparation and production of the monthly management accounts, including full commentary and analysis
- Running the finance function, ensuring it is at full efficiency and resolving any issues
- Taking ownership of cashflow management and forecasting
- Supporting with project work and liaising with several departments
- Managing the year-end accounts preparation and liaising with auditors
- Overseeing the transactional accounting departments, ensuring they are being run effectively
- Building relationships with key clients and managing any queries
The successful Part Time Financial Controller will have/be:
- Previous experience in a similar position
- QBE or fully qualified candidates will be considered
- Working knowledge of Xero
- SME background
- Ability to communicate at all levels
