A small and established accountancy practice in Woking is looking to appoint an Accountancy Practice Manager to take a key role within the business. Working closely with the Partners, this position will oversee a small team, manage client relationships and take responsibility for a varied mix of accounts and personal tax work.
About The Role
- Oversee a small team and support their development
- Review accounts and other work prepared by the outsourced team
- Manage a portfolio of clients and act as a key point of contact
- Prepare and review personal tax returns
- Opportunity to get involved with trust work
- Work directly with the Partners on the running of the practice
- Review work to ensure accuracy and quality
- Identify and improve processes across the practice
- Help train and develop members of the team
- Support the Partners with wider business and growth plans
The successful candidate will have:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred, although QBE candidates will be considered
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong accounts and personal tax knowledge
- Experience reviewing work and maintaining quality standards
- Good client management and communication skills
- A hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership
- Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
- An interest in developing their trust knowledge would be advantageous
