A small and established accountancy practice in Woking is looking to appoint an Accountancy Practice Manager to take a key role within the business. Working closely with the Partners, this position will oversee a small team, manage client relationships and take responsibility for a varied mix of accounts and personal tax work.

About The Role

  • Oversee a small team and support their development
  • Review accounts and other work prepared by the outsourced team
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and act as a key point of contact
  • Prepare and review personal tax returns
  • Opportunity to get involved with trust work
  • Work directly with the Partners on the running of the practice
  • Review work to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Identify and improve processes across the practice
  • Help train and develop members of the team
  • Support the Partners with wider business and growth plans

The successful candidate will have:

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred, although QBE candidates will be considered
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice
  • Strong accounts and personal tax knowledge
  • Experience reviewing work and maintaining quality standards
  • Good client management and communication skills
  • A hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership
  • Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
  • An interest in developing their trust knowledge would be advantageous
