This well-established accountancy firm is continuing to grow and is looking to add an Accounts Semi-Senior to the team. The role offers a broad mix of accounts and tax work, including statutory accounts, management accounts and VAT, giving you the chance to build experience across a varied client base. The position would suit someone with previous practice experience, although graduates with a relevant degree and a genuine interest in accountancy will also be considered. Full study support is available, with the firm offering a flexible approach to working and plenty of scope to develop your experience.
Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting work and take on increasing responsibility as you develop. The role covers both accounts and tax, giving you the chance to build a well-rounded skill set within practice. You will work alongside experienced members of the team while also having regular client contact, helping you develop both technically and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory accounts for a range of clients
- Assist with management accounts
- Prepare VAT returns
- Support personal and corporation tax work
- Complete working papers and reconciliations
- Deal with day-to-day client queries
- Liaise with clients to obtain relevant information
- Assist with other accounts work as required
The successful Accounts Semi-Senior will have:
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice preferred
- Graduates with a relevant degree and genuine interest in accountancy will also be considered
- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Organised approach to managing workload and deadlines
- Keen to continue developing technically
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
