Corporate Tax Manager – About The Role
As Corporate Tax Manager, you will lead complex tax advisory projects for a diverse client base, ranging from owner-managed businesses to large corporates. You’ll work closely with partners and junior team members, managing engagements from initial instruction through to legal implementation. This role offers significant client exposure, responsibility for technical analysis, and the chance to mentor colleagues while contributing to business growth. Key responsibilities:
Deliver bespoke tax advice, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
Lead corporate tax projects, including corporate structuring and advising on tax reliefs
Prepare and review technical tax analysis, reports, and HMRC clearance submissions
Conduct tax due diligence across corporation tax, PAYE, VAT, and other areas
Advise on employee share incentives and prepare HMRC valuation reports
Support complex compliance work and provide technical guidance to audit teams
Mentor junior team members on technical and professional development
Assist partners with client pitches and business development
Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering commercially focused advice
The successful Corporate Tax Manager will have:
ACA, ACCA, CTA, or ATT qualified
Significant post-qualification experience in corporate tax advisory and compliance
Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation, including corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax, VAT, and stamp duty/SDLT
Experience structuring corporate transactions and delivering tax-efficient solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex tax matters clearly
Advanced Excel and Word proficiency
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritise effectively
Proactive problem solver with a focus on process improvement
Experience mentoring and developing junior colleagues
Client-focused with the ability to build trusted relationships
