Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper - About The Role

The role of Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper is to work in a team to support these clients and reports to the Accounts team manager and involves:

  • Bookkeeping client accounts, managing the data capture process and bank statements, through a variety of methods from manual posting to automated data interfaces.
  • Performing the reconciliation of bank records Working closely with our accountants, to sign off on client records on a daily or monthly basis.
  • Assisting in the preparation of wealth reports, financial reports, performance reports, expenditure analysis and management accounts, depending upon the client.
  • General administration of accounts for clients, including cash flow analysis and raising payments. Day to day filing and archiving.
  • Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper - About You
  • It is anticipated the successful Assistant Accountant or Bookkeeper will have gained previous experience in an accountancy firm, financial services organisation legal, outsourcing or business services.
  • You will have proven experience in a bookkeeping, accounting or investment administration role and have excellent communication and time management skills.
  • AAT or a similar qualification is desirable but not essential.
