As an Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio and play a key role in the delivery of high-quality accounts work. You will work closely with senior members of the firm while also supporting and reviewing the work of junior staff. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of owner managed businesses and limited companies
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS102
- Preparing year-end working papers and reconciliations
- Reviewing junior work, providing feedback, and supporting their development
- Acting as a main point of contact for clients on day-to-day matters
- Working closely with Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines and standards are met
- Getting involved in ad hoc work and process improvements where appropriate
- ACA or ACCA qualification. Candidates qualified by experience will also be considered
- Solid UK practice experience in an accounts focused role
- Strong working knowledge of FRS102
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Confident communication skills and a professional approach with clients
- A practical, solutions focused mindset
