Senior Accountant - About The Role
The role will involve managing a portfolio of clients while getting involved across a broad range of work. You will have plenty of autonomy, with direct access to the Partners and the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as your experience develops. Key responsibilities:
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients
- Preparing statutory accounts and year-end accounts
- Preparing corporation tax computations and supporting personal tax work
- Producing management accounts and financial information for clients
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients
- Reviewing work and supporting more junior members of the team
- Helping clients with day-to-day accounting queries
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and the service provided
- Working closely with the Partners on more complex assignments
- Building your knowledge across accounts, tax and advisory services
The successful Senior Accountant will have:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification
- Previous UK accountancy practice experience
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Strong accounts knowledge
- Good understanding of corporation tax, with personal tax exposure advantageous
- An interest in developing management accounting skills
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident using Excel and able to pick up new software
- A proactive and hands-on approach
- Comfortable working independently within a small team
- Keen to develop their career and broaden their experience
