We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Senior Legal Cashier, to join our close-knit, friendly, accounts team in Norwich. The Senior Legal Cashier will carry out tasks of a Legal Cashier as well as carrying out the additional tasks and responsibilities expected of a Senior Legal Cashier which are set out below. This role is a full time office based role but we do understand that flexibility is essential for a good work life balance.
Some of the duties will include:
- Supporting any queries the legal cashiers may have in the first instance, escalating these queries to Assistant Accounts Manager/Senior Accounts Manager for support if required.
- Assisting with the management of the client balances monitor to ensure prompt return of residual monies to include dealing with annual letters.
Co-ordinating the checks of out-of-date cheques regularly, stopping and re-issuing where required. - Dealing with all Oxford work, including the USD account and monthly billing reports.
- Monitoring suspense account and clear down as quickly as possible.
- Assisting with keeping in control the clearing down bank reconciliations, including assisting with investigating anomalies.
- Assisting with month end processes.
- Assisting with training of new members of the cashiering team.
- Dealing with specific invoices including Chancel, Orbital Witness, Legalinx, Kyckr, Thirdfort and Companies House.
- Ensuring end of day reports are carried out by the allocated legal cashiers and saved correctly, ensuring these are done on a daily basis if covering a team member absence/holiday. In the event these cannot be saved correctly, this needs to be reported to Assistant Accounts Manager.
- Covering the specific responsibilities carried out by the individual legal cashiers during periods of holiday or absence to ensure all areas of work are kept up to date.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the Senior Accounts Manager, as required.

- Desireable to have knowledge of SRA rules and regulations relating to client accounts
