We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Commercial Property Solicitor around 2-5 years PQE to join our team based in Cambridge. You will be working with a broad range of clients on a variety of projects and a mixed caseload of real estate work including strategic land development, sales and acquisitions, landlord and tenant, property finance and corporate support. This is a friendly team with highly experienced practitioners with the ability to provide you with the necessary support to develop your career.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Advising and assisting clients in relation to their matters, ensuring a high level of client service is maintained at all times.
  • Managing all aspects of the client relationship, from engagement to billing.
  • Working as a team with colleagues on larger projects and with intermediaries.
  • Updating and consulting with Senior Associates and Partners.
  • Managing client files from start to finish.
  • Networking and business development in the Cambridge market supported by your colleagues.
  • Assisting with mentoring and management of more junior team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with all file management processes, including those related to file audits.

A little about you:

  • Ability to deal independently with a range of transactions, including unfamiliar tasks which present multiple problems.
  • Uses own judgement but may need supervision at differing levels of transaction.
  • Experience of analysing and reporting on complex titles and spotting issues.
  • Ideally some experience of property development work, working in a team.
  • Enjoys client contact and problem solving.
  • Identifies the legal principles relevant to the area of practice and applies them appropriately.
  • Uses experience to check the information provided and not afraid to ask questions.
