We’re looking for an IT Platform & Support Coordinator to join our IT team in Birmingham. This is a hands-on, development-focused role for someone with around 18–24 months of IT support experience who’s ready to build on the fundamentals and get involved in everything from user support to infrastructure and new technology.
You’ll work closely with our Head of IT, supporting around 90 people across our Birmingham and London studios. Day to day, you’ll help keep our systems running smoothly, manage patching and updates, maintain infrastructure, and support the creative software that drives our work.
What makes this role interesting is the scope to explore and introduce new ideas — from automation and process improvements to AI. We’re using both text-based AI tools to help with admin and documentation, and creative AI for image, video and 3D visualisation, and we’d love you to be part of that journey.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting and maintaining Windows systems, servers (VMware) and backups (Veeam)
- Managing patching and software deployment with PDQ and SmartDeploy
- Supporting creative software including Autodesk, Adobe, Enscape, Twinmotion and SketchUp
- Maintaining network infrastructure, firewalls and our London VDI environment
- Writing clear documentation and sharing knowledge
- Researching and testing new technologies that could make our IT smarter, faster, or more creative
What we’re looking for:
- 18–24 months’ experience in an IT support or technician role
- An interest in technologies such as VMware, Veeam, PDQ, SmartDeploy and networking
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Active Directory and user administration
- A curious, proactive mindset — someone who experiments and learns independently
- Awareness of creative or design software is a bonus, but not essential
- Comfortable working directly with senior staff and taking initiative
What you can expect:
We’re an approachable and down-to-earth team who are passionate about making and making things happen. If successful, you’ll join a practice committed to well-being and invested in people at all stages of their careers.
Our Birmingham base, in the heart of Digbeth, reflects the industry and culture of the city we call home. The former factory building houses our studio alongside our modelmaking workshop, ground floor exhibition and events space and is accompanied by a subsidised café.
Benefits include profit share, agile working, pension scheme, private healthcare insurance and more. If you think you are the person we are looking for, please get in touch!
If you’re curious about technology, enjoy solving problems, and like the idea of working where IT meets creativity, we’d love to hear from you.
