Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworker to join a well-established reactive maintenance team, carrying out repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties across Barnet and the surrounding North West and West London areas. This is a mobile role covering Barnet, Camden, Wembley, Westminster, Harrow, Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith, therefore candidates must be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out a range of external groundworks repairs and maintenance within occupied residential properties.
- Completing repairs to pathways, paving, patios, slabs and concrete areas.
- Undertaking fencing repairs and replacements where required.
- Carrying out drainage repairs and general external maintenance works.
- Completing minor brickwork, masonry repairs and making good works.
- Preparing and reinstating ground areas following repairs.
- Diagnosing issues and completing works efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
- Delivering excellent customer service while working within residents' homes and surrounding areas.
- Managing your own workload and completing jobs within agreed timescales.
- Taking ownership of jobs from first visit through to completion.

- Use PDA and mobile technology systems correctly.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Take ownership and responsibility for all allocated jobs.
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Groundworker within reactive maintenance or social housing.
- Strong experience carrying out external repairs including paving, slabs, concrete repairs, fencing and drainage works.
- Experience working within occupied residential properties.
- Ability to complete minor brickwork and masonry repairs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
- Full UK manual driving licence (no automatic vans available).
