We are working with a leading Repairs and Maintenance Contractor within the Social Housing sector to recruit a Plumber to join their team in South Birmingham.
As an operative within the Social Housing sector, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and improvement of properties, ensuring all work is completed to a high-quality and in compliance with H&S and relevant regulations.
- Proven experience as a Plumber Multi in social housing or similar environment.
- City & Guilds / NVQ in Plumbing level 2 (Desired).
- Relevant trade qualifications in plumbing, CSCS card and Asbestos Awareness cert.
- Experience using a PDA, good IT skills with experience using job scheduling software.
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check - with no unspent criminal convictions.
- Full, UK, manual driving license.
Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance on social housing properties, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently, aiming for a 'First Time Fix' on all jobs to minimise follow-up visits.
- Carry out installations, replacements, and servicing of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while managing workloads effectively to meet budget and time constraints.
- Ensure compliance with company Health and Safety guidelines and adhere to relevant legal and technical regulations.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, new technologies, and regulations to continuously improve skills and service quality.
