Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter Multi Trader to join a well-established reactive maintenance team, carrying out repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties across Swindon and the surrounding areas. This is a mobile role covering Swindon, Salisbury, Gloucester, Witney, Banbury and Bicester, therefore candidates must be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out a range of carpentry repairs and maintenance works within occupied residential properties.
- Completing both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry tasks including doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, kitchens and general woodwork repairs.
- Undertaking additional multi-trade duties including basic plumbing, tiling, patch plastering and decorating where required.
- Diagnosing faults and resolving maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
- Delivering excellent customer service while working within residents' homes.
- Managing your own workload and completing jobs within agreed timescales.
- Taking ownership of jobs from first visit through to completion.

- Use PDA and mobile technology systems correctly.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Take ownership and responsibility for all allocated jobs.
Applicants must have:
- Relevant trade qualifications.
- Proven experience within social housing reactive maintenance.
- Strong carpentry experience with the ability to undertake additional multi-trade repairs.
- Experience working within occupied properties.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
- Full UK manual driving licence (no automatic vans available).
