We are currently seeking an experienced Floor Layer to join a well-established reactive maintenance team, carrying out day-to-day flooring repairs and installations within occupied social housing properties across Barnet and the surrounding North West and West London areas.
This is a mobile role covering Barnet, Camden, Wembley, Westminster, Harrow, Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith, therefore candidates must be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.
Carrying out reactive floor repairs and installations within occupied residential properties.
Preparing subfloors to ensure a high-quality finish.
Installing and repairing vinyl flooring, including safety flooring.
Completing cap and cove flooring installations to a high standard.
Measuring, cutting and fitting flooring materials accurately.
Removing and replacing damaged flooring where required.
Diagnosing flooring issues and carrying out effective repairs.
Take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Communicate effectively with tenants and office-based teams.
Respect company vehicles, materials and equipment.
Consistently achieve strong KPI performance, with a typical target of a minimum of 7 completed jobs per day.
Maintain excellent quality inspection scores.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Relevant Floor Laying qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) or proven time-served experience.
Proven experience within social housing reactive maintenance.
Experience installing and repairing vinyl flooring and cap and cove flooring.
Full UK manual driving licence (no automatic vans available).
Company van and fuel card.
