Job Title: Glazier and basic multi Trader (Social Housing) Location: Hastings (Covering Hastings, Bexhill, Pevensey Bay, Penhurst, Battle, Brede and Rye) Salary: £40,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card Permanent Position We are currently recruiting for an experienced Glazier with basic multi-trade skills to join a well-established social housing contractor covering the Hastings area. This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled Glazier with experience carrying out repairs and maintenance within occupied and void social housing properties. The successful candidate will have a strong background in glazing, alongside basic knowledge of general property maintenance and repairs. Due to the location of the works, candidates must live within approximately 10-15 miles from Hastings. The role will primarily involve glazing repairs and replacements, alongside a range of basic multi-trade tasks within residential properties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong core trade who is also confident carrying out minor repairs and making good. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out glazing repairs and replacements within social housing properties Replacing broken, damaged or misted glass units Measuring, cutting and fitting glass where required Repairing and replacing window and door glazing Working within both occupied and void properties Carrying out basic carpentry repairs, including doors, skirting and architraves Undertaking minor plumbing repairs where required Basic patch plastering and making good following repairs Minor tiling repairs and replacements Basic painting and decorating to complete works to a good standard Carrying out general property maintenance and minor repairs Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard Providing good customer service when working within occupied properties Accurately updating jobs and completing reports using a PDA systemRequirements: Proven experience as a Gkazier within property maintenance, housing or a similar environment Experience working within occupied and void residential properties Strong glazing skills, including repairs and glass replacement Basic multi-trade skills across areas such as carpentry, plastering, plumbing and general maintenance Good understanding of health and safety requirements Previous experience using a PDA or handheld device to manage workloads Full UK Driving Licence Must live within approximately within 10-15 miles from Hastings.
