I am currently seeking an experienced and reliable Plasterer Multi Trader to join a reactive maintenance team, carrying out repairs and improvement works within social housing properties across Hastings and the surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering, with experience working within occupied properties and delivering high-quality repairs for tenants.

Candidates with additional multi-trade skills, such as basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, tiling, or general building repairs, would be highly desirable.

You will be responsible for completing a range of reactive maintenance works, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to residents.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out plastering repairs, patching, skimming, and associated finishing works within social housing properties.
  • Complete general multi-trade repairs, including basic carpentry, painting, tiling, and minor plumbing repairs where required.
  • Attend reactive maintenance jobs and diagnose repair requirements efficiently.
  • Work within occupied homes while maintaining a professional and respectful approach with tenants.
  • Inspect properties and identify any additional maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed works, materials used, and time spent on jobs.
  • Use a PDA system to update job information and complete required paperwork.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Plasterer, ideally within social housing, property maintenance, or a similar environment.
  • Strong plastering skills with the ability to complete repairs to a high standard.
  • Multi-trade experience is highly desirable, particularly in carpentry, painting, plumbing, tiling, or general maintenance.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to use a PDA or have good IT skills.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
