Up to £56,000 plus package - Permanent Based in Stratford Our client is a well-established and growing Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance Contractor, delivering high-quality planned and responsive electrical works to local authority and housing association clients.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their team based in Stratford.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of electrical contracts across a portfolio of social housing properties.
You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring full compliance with current electrical regulations.
Key Responsibilities Additional duties include: Manage the operational delivery of electrical contracts across planned maintenance, responsive repairs, voids and capital works within occupied and void social housing properties.
Lead and support a team of Supervisors, Electricians and specialist subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to agreed service levels.
Oversee the delivery of electrical installations, rewires, consumer unit upgrades, EICRs, remedial works, communal electrical systems and associated maintenance programmes.
Ensure all electrical works comply with current legislation, including BS7671 Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety legislation and client specifications.
Monitor contract performance against KPIs, SLAs and budgets, implementing improvements where required to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
Carry out regular site inspections, quality audits and safety inspections, ensuring high standards of workmanship and compliance are maintained.
Manage project programmes, resources and materials to ensure works are delivered within agreed timescales and budgets.
Review certification and technical documentation, ensuring all electrical testing and inspection records are completed accurately and issued promptly.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, residents, supply chain partners and internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, customer complaints and operational challenges in a professional and timely manner.
Support commercial performance by identifying variations, managing costs and assisting with financial reporting, valuations and forecasting.
Promote a strong culture of health, safety, quality and customer care throughout all aspects of contract delivery.
Ensure engineers maintain the required competencies, training and qualifications to carry out works safely and in accordance with industry standards.
About You The successful candidate will have: Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager, Contracts Supervisor or Senior Electrical Project Manager within the Social Housing or Property Maintenance sector.
Strong technical knowledge of domestic electrical installations, testing and inspection, EICRs, remedial works, rewires and planned maintenance programmes.
Experience managing planned works and responsive maintenance contracts for local authorities or housing associations.
Excellent understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations, electrical compliance requirements and Health & Safety legislation.
Demonstrable experience managing directly employed engineers and subcontractors across multiple live contracts.
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, contract performance and client KPIs.
Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
Qualifications NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification (desirable).
ECS Gold Card (desirable).
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH (desirable). xgikmsk
