This role will provide direct support to fee earners within the Family Law Team, enabling them to focus on delivering high-quality work while ensuring clients receive an excellent level of service.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Communicate with clients professionally and promptly via phone, email, and in person, ensuring accurate and timely message handling.
- Manage fee earners’ diaries, including scheduling appointments and arranging meetings.
- Process case-related information, documents, and correspondence accurately and in a timely manner as directed.
- Prepare bundles and briefs for experts, courts, and barristers.
- Attend court hearings as a representative of the firm and provide support to vulnerable clients.
- Maintain accurate records on the case management system.
- Handle telephone calls for fee earners and relay messages efficiently.
- Transcribe documents and audio dictation, and undertake note and minute taking.
- Correspond with councils and other relevant bodies.
- Draft and prepare statements and applications, and review documents.
- Carry out general administrative tasks including photocopying and filing.
- Assist with billing processes, including preparing and supporting the production of invoices as required.
- Complete regular safeguarding training, identify and report safeguarding concerns (including emergencies) to the Designated Safeguarding Officer, and respond in line with management direction.
- Maintain strict client and company confidentiality at all times.
