The appointed individual will be responsible for the preparation and management of commercial pricing for £multi-million tenders on behalf of housing associations, local authorities and registered social landlords (RSLs). The role will involve close collaboration with the Bid and Commercial teams to ensure competitive, accurate and fully compliant tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and price tenders, bids and budget proposals as allocated by the Head of Bids and Commercial Director.
- Manage the pricing process across multiple bids, ensuring adherence to individual tender programmes and deadlines.
- Produce all commercial and pricing information required for inclusion within written bid submissions.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate and competitive quotations for specialist work packages.
- Attend site visits to verify client documentation and obtain additional information necessary for tender preparation.
- Work closely with Programme Managers to ensure all information is provided to support the production of the final tender programme.
- Prepare tender clarifications, exclusions and supporting commercial notes.
- Attend bid review meetings, client meetings and pre-contract handovers as required throughout the tender process.
Experience & Requirements:
- Proven experience producing commercial pricing for £multi-million tender submissions.
- Demonstrable background within Social Housing Planned Maintenance and Decent Homes programmes.
- Strong working knowledge of system estimating software.
- Experience working with Schedules of Rates.
- Ability to accurately price tender preliminaries.
- In-depth understanding of supply chain capacity and resource planning.
- Stable career history with evidence of long-term employment.
