About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive damp and mould operative to join our team, delivering high-quality repairs and remedial works in occupied and void social housing properties. Working across Maida Vale, you will play a key role in improving residents' homes by addressing damp and mould issues and carrying out painting and decorating tasks to a professional standard. This is a permanent position offering excellent job security, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out remedial works to address damp and mould issues in social housing properties, including cleaning, treating affected areas, and applying anti-mould coatings.
  • Undertake painting and decorating works internally and externally to a high standard.
  • Prepare surfaces (sanding, filling, sealing) before painting or treatment.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants to explain works and minimise disruption.
  • Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicles in good condition.
  • Accurately record all completed works using handheld devices.
