About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Director to join a leading Passive Fire Protection contractor.
This is a senior leadership position, responsible for driving the company's commercial growth, developing key client relationships and identifying new business opportunities across the UK.
The successful candidate will have a strong background within Passive Fire Protection and a proven track record of selling services to Tier 1 Main Contractors.
You will be commercially driven, well connected within the construction sector and confident operating at senior level with key decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the company's sales and business development strategy.
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Passive Fire Protection sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 Main Contractors, developers and key construction clients.
Develop existing client accounts and maximise opportunities for repeat and long-term business.
Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, bids and commercial proposals.
Work closely with estimating, pre-construction, commercial and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Identify upcoming projects and develop strategies to position the business ahead of competitors.
Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions as a senior representative of the business.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and opportunities for business growth.
Manage and develop the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
Establish and maintain relationships with senior procurement, commercial and construction personnel.
Contribute to the overall strategic direction and growth of the business.
Lead, mentor and develop the wider sales/business development function as the company grows.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven senior-level sales/business development experience within Passive Fire Protection.
A strong track record of successfully selling to Tier 1 Main Contractors.
An established network of contacts across the UK construction industry.
Strong knowledge of passive fire protection, including firestopping, compartmentation and associated passive fire systems.
Demonstrable experience winning new business and securing sizeable contracts.
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
The ability to build relationships at director and senior decision-maker level.
Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
A strategic and commercially focused approach to sales.
Experience managing and developing a sales/business development team would be advantageous.
A proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
