We are currently recruiting for an experienced Roofer Multi to join a well-established social housing contractor covering the Hastings area.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for a skilled Roofer who is confident carrying out general roofing repairs and maintenance, alongside basic multi-skilled property repairs. Roofing will be your main trade, however, when roofing work is quieter, you will also be required to assist with smaller repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties.

You will be joining an established maintenance team, carrying out a varied range of roofing and general property maintenance works across residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out a variety of roofing repairs, maintenance and renewal works
  • Working across occupied and void social housing properties
  • Completing associated roofing works including guttering, fascia and soffit repairs
  • Carrying out basic multi-skilled repairs when required
  • Completing small general maintenance tasks including basic carpentry, patch repairs, painting and decorating and other minor property repairs
  • Identifying and reporting any additional repairs or issues within properties
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Updating job details and completing reports using a PDA system
  • Providing a professional service while representing the company on-site

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Roofer within social housing, housing maintenance or a similar property maintenance environment
  • Strong knowledge of general roofing repairs and maintenance
  • Previous experience carrying out basic multi-skilled property repairs
  • Comfortable working across occupied and void properties
  • Able to complete minor repairs outside of your core roofing trade
  • Comfortable using a PDA or handheld device to manage workloads and update jobs
  • Full UK Driving Licence
