We are working with a respected London law firm, whose Trusts & Estates team is looking to make a strategic hire at Manager or Senior Manager level. The incoming individual will oversee a high-end portfolio of trusts and estates, taking responsibility for their related accounts, returns and associated compliance. The majority of the trusts are UK domestic, but there is also scope to get involved with offshore trusts advice. You will supervise a team of more junior trusts advisers and also have the opportunity to work with senior managers and partners on ad hoc trust planning projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a high-end portfolio of trusts and estates, including related accounts, returns and associated compliance.
- Supervise a team of junior trusts advisers and collaborate with senior managers and partners on ad hoc trust planning projects.
- Engage in client-facing and third-party facing activities with strong relationship management skills.
Qualifications and requirements
- STEP and/or ATT/ACA qualifications would be ideal but are not essential.
- Strong experience advising on, preparing and reviewing trust and estates accounts and returns.
- Excellent grasp of UK trust taxation.
- Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach.
Working arrangement
Hybrid working 2-3 days a week. The team is based in central London.
Salary and benefits
Salary will be dependent on experience but is likely to be £75k-£85k + bens and bonus.
