We are working with a prominent Cambridge accountancy firm that has built a strong reputation in the HNW Private Client field. They are growing and keen to find a talented individual at Senior Manager level. The role would suit either an SM seeking a new challenge and a route towards Director, or alternatively, a Manager ready for the step up to SM grade.
Responsibilities
- Act as the key trusted adviser to HNW private clients with complex tax affairs, including serial entrepreneurs, agricultural/landed wealth, prominent families, partnerships and Trusts.
- Provide ad hoc personal tax planning advice on succession, IHT, estate planning, CGT, trusts and property related taxation.
- Build and maintain client relationships, while identifying new work opportunities.
- Supervise junior staff and oversee their compliance and advisory workloads.
- Develop the junior team and assist with their technical and personal growth.
Background & Qualifications
- Significant experience in private client tax from a professional services firm.
- Sound knowledge of private client tax issues including CGT, IHT and trusts.
- Proven technical expertise and the ability to convey complex messages effectively.
- Experience in tax planning/advisory projects and handling compliance issues.
- People management and organizational skills.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser (ACA/CTA).
The firm offers hybrid working 2-3 days a week. Salary dependent on experience but likely to be in the region £70k-£85k + benefits.
