Responsibilities

  • Acting as the key trusted adviser to HNW private clients with complex tax affairs, including serial entrepreneurs, agricultural/landed wealth, prominent families, partnerships, and Trusts.
  • Providing ad hoc personal tax planning advice on areas including succession, IHT and estate planning, CGT, trusts, and property-related taxation.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships, as well as identifying new work opportunities.
  • Supervising junior staff, their compliance and advisory workloads.
  • Developing the junior team and assisting with their technical and personal growth.

Background

  • Significant experience in private client tax from a professional services firm.
  • Currently at least Senior Manager grade within a respected team.
  • Sound knowledge of private client tax issues including CGT, IHT, and trusts - preferably some experience with rural clients and landed estates.
  • Proven technical expertise and the ability to convey complex messages effectively.
  • Experience in tax planning/advisory projects and handling compliance issues.
  • People management and organizational skills.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser (ACA/CTA).

The firm offers hybrid working 2-3 days a week. Salary dependent on experience but likely to be in the region of £82k-£92k + benefits.
