Howdens are looking for a Warehouse Group Leader to motivate, supervise, and provide first-line leadership to the team based at our Raunds campus in Northamptonshire. This facility handles over 40 million pieces from 200 suppliers to over 900 depots across the UK and Europe. As a FTSE 100 company undergoing growth, this role is central to warehouse operations.

Shift Pattern:

Nights | 10pm – 6am, Sunday – Thursday

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Shift Manager in creating activity plans to ensure safety, efficiency, and achievement of KPIs.
• Identify performance shortfalls and resolve them confidently.
• Lead and manage your team, ensuring training, feedback, and recognition.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues across shifts.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience as a Group Leader stand-in is advantageous.
• Experience operating MHE equipment.
• Proven ability to develop high-performance teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems.
• NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing and CIEH Level 3 Health & Safety are desirable.
