Howdens joinery are looking for a new Performance Test Engineer to join our test delivery team. Based from our office in Howden, Yorkshire or Northampton you will be the subject matter expert (SME) supporting the delivery of Non-Functional Test requirements.
This is a permanent full time opportunity based onsite 4 days with 1 day from home. Applicants must live within a commutable distance to either Howden or Northampton.
What will I be doing.
- Create a Performance catalogue to frame current assets and coverage by System
- Working with Service Delivery, System & Product owners propose additional Systems coverage
- Execute, maintain existing Performance packs
- Schedule, communicate and ābook outā Test Harnesses and other assets giving visibility in Project Server
- Analyse changes, understand requirements, undertake initial Performance assessments
- Support in the creation of Performance Test Approaches and identification of Test scope
- Present benefits cases of Internal options vs. External options as appropriate for delivery
- Plan and Develop performance test approaches and scenarios using JMeter and Neoload
- Execute Load, stress and capacity tests across SAP, Web and API based applications
- Input to the creation of Statements of Work (SoW)
- Maintain Performance Testing Toolset (Tricentis Neoload, Controller, Injectors & Protocol bundles)
- Manage and control user provisioning, access levels, starters/leavers process for owned tools
- Use application performance monitoring tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, AppDynamics, Grafana) to correlate test results with system metrics
What we need from you
- 3+ years of hands-on Performance Testing experience
- Strong expertise in Neoload ,Jmeter and Loadrunner
- Experience of Performance testing SAP applications
- Creating, maintaining and executing Performance packs
- Working in a multi-development method environment with Agile & Waterfall methodologies
- In depth knowledge of the Test process with detailed knowledge of non-Functional requirements coverage (NFRās)
- Risk mitigation approaches to reach appropriate levels dependant on time, cost & quality dimensions
- Advanced understanding of planning Metrics used to create Performance estimates
- Working up requirements from inception to proposal from variety of sources e.g. user stories, NFRās
- Creation of Test Approaches and identification of Test scope, including Test data & Environmental requirements (e.g. data creation, seeding, recovery points, server sizing, tuning)
- Presenting proposals and benefits cases
- Working with 3rd party Service Providers
- Strong analytical skills and methodical approach to problem solving
