Overview

Apprentice Warehouse Person at Howdens, Airdrie, Scotland, United Kingdom. This role is part of an award-winning apprenticeship scheme offering on-the-job training and support from a leading training provider, pursuing a SQCF Level 6 – Warehousing & Storage Apprenticeship, typically spanning up to 13 months.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in a courteous, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Maintain stock, adhere to health and safety regulations, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Carry out general housekeeping duties, including stock rotation, cleanliness, and tidiness in line with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Conduct security and compliance checks on incoming stock and outgoing orders with a focus on accuracy.
  • Perform daily checks on the forklift truck and other mechanical equipment, and report any defects to the Depot Manager.
