Here at Howdens, our Technology Teams work together to support, develop and maintain a stable and robust IT platform that drives our business forward and helps us continue to grow as an industry leader. We are currently in the process of delivering several major projects across Technology, including the implementation of Workday and UKG Workforce Pro. As a result, we are looking for an experienced People Systems Analyst, ideally with a Time and Attendance specialism, to join us on an initial 15-month contract.
What you’ll be doing as the People Systems Analyst:
- Support the remaining project tasks for both UKG Workforce Pro and Workday implementation, including finalising testing of solutions and integrations and supporting cutover activities (data and project tasks).
- Day-to-day support of core applications, which will include UKG Workforce Pro and Workday Absence Time Tracking and Scheduling.
- Act as functional lead on complex projects impacting the HR & people systems landscape, whereby you will own and complete the analysis, advise, configure, document, test, knowledge transfer, and support Go Live.
- Lead on business requirements engineering using a variety of methods including process mapping, workshops, meetings, and data analysis to document clearly defined, accurate, and detailed business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications to ensure system changes being developed are clearly stated and understood, including configuration, interface, and development requirements.
- Support on HR and Payroll related solution designs.
- Liaise with the appropriate technology teams and suppliers to determine the final solution, including interfaces.
- Extract data and reports using the appropriate reporting tools to support analysis, testing, and data cutover activities.
- Support the project manager during delivery of UKG Workforce Pro and Workday projects, helping to keep activity on track and risks/issues controlled.
- Take ownership of support tickets raised by the business and communicate updates and resolutions within defined service level agreements for current applications and once live, provide post go-live support across UKG Workforce Pro and Workday.
- Support day-to-day operational activities within the production environments, including monitoring system processes such as overnight feeds, investigating issues, and resolving them efficiently when they occur.
- Manage system upgrades, release updates, and data changes in line with the agreed roadmap of change, ensuring operational readiness and minimal disruption to users.
- Provide ongoing technical systems administration of HR and Payroll systems for small changes and fixes, including creating, updating/modifying configurations; adhering to standard naming conventions and change process.
- Develop and maintain the system administration guide/run book and relevant training materials for the team, ensuring these remain accurate, current, and accessible.
What we are looking for from you:
- Proven experience within a similar People Systems/HR IS role.
- Kronos (UKG Workforce Pro) experience is essential.
- Workday (Absence Time Tracking and Scheduling) experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of employee lifecycle covering all HR T&A and payroll processes.
- Technical systems and legislation including data protection.
- Experience with implementing, configuring, and supporting HR and Payroll systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
