Rural Sales Executives sit within the Small Farm Team, providing the first point of triage for all inbound enquiries as well as a broking service for telephone and web sales. Tasked with following up enquiries, signposting them to the correct team and onboarding new rural customers via pro‑active client engagement and the timely follow‑up of inbound enquiries. Required to ascertain the correct client information, broker client insurances and complete transactions that meet the customers’ demands and needs, in a sales‑driven environment, whilst maintaining a compliant and client‑centric manner.
Clients
- Develop strong relationships with clients
- Ensure transactions are conducted with full transparency
- Deal with incoming enquiries from clients and agents
- Behave with all clients (both internal and external) fairly and ethically
Broking / Administration
- Assist in the creation of comprehensive broking information documents
- Ensure up to date records are maintained at all times on the Group systems
- Assist in planning the most appropriate insurance programme for the client's demands and needs
- Ensure that all information is passed when required to the appropriate team
Skills and abilities needed to perform role
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- Good communication skills including written, verbal and face to face
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Negotiation and influencing skills (able to sell)
- Computer literate
- Resilient and calm under pressure
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of a sales environment (preferably telesales)
- Knowledge or experience of the Rural Sector/Lifestyle (desirable but not essential)
- 1-2 years experience working in insurance broking sector
Professional Qualifications
- Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
- Working towards or has attained Cert CII
