We are looking for a Junior HR Business Partner who will support delivering commercially aligned HR solutions for the Corporate & Commercial pillar of the business. The role works in a transformational environment with divisional leaders to build substantial businesses, embedding strong stakeholder relationships and delivering HR solutions that enable business plans.
The role supports the HRBP in delivering effective people strategies across the Corporate & Commercial pillar and the wider Retail business. It collaborates with Centres of Expertise in Recruitment, Reward, Talent & Development, and HR Ops to deliver best-in-class people interventions that underpin growth and transformation.
The successful candidate will have experience partnering with a fast-paced, commercially minded business, embedding consistent HR practices, and delivering outcomes. Experience working with a HR Director and COEs to achieve broader HR initiatives and contribute to the group’s strategy and growth is desirable.
Key Accountabilities- Support the HR Business Partner in implementing people initiatives that align with the business strategy and objectives for Howden UK&I Retail.
- Gather and understand information about the pillar's people, aspirations, challenges, and talent requirements to inform future planning.
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, performance, and talent management activities, ensuring key HR processes are delivered efficiently.
- Coordinate people-related elements of organisational change, such as mergers and acquisitions, following established frameworks and supporting team engagement.
- Collaborate across HR and the business to deliver a consistent and positive employee experience.
- Work with Centres of Expertise to support development and delivery of solutions tailored to business needs, guided by the HR Business Partner.
- Assist in administering the annual compensation and rewards process with accuracy and transparency under the HRBP guidance.
- Build professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders throughout the organisation.
- Assist in collecting and analysing HR data to inform recommendations and support business decisions.
- Maintain awareness of external market trends and share insights to support team learning and adaptation.
- Act as a point of contact for the HR Advisory team on employee relations and employment life cycle matters.
- Experience in the Insurance industry.
- Experience supporting a HR Business Partner with knowledge of all HR subject areas.
- Experience supporting leaders and partnering in a complex, multicultural, virtual environment.
- Ability to translate strategic people requirements into language that the wider business can engage with.
- A hands-on HR practitioner able to work on strategic and operational matters and build relationships with collaborators, customers, partners, and team members.
- Approachable and innovative, able to streamline processes and leverage technology to drive automation and scalability.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate a fast-paced, varied workload.
- Capable of challenging confidently while maintaining credible relationships and handling difficult conversations.
