The predicted salary is between 28000 - 35000 £ per year.
Your day-to-day will be quite varied: alongside your team, you will work with specific clients to place risks with insurers, assist with the negotiation of effective insurance terms to ensure client needs are best met in relation to pricing and cover, as well as participate in team meetings and client calls. You will also manage queries from underwriters and external requests as and when they arise.

- Collaborate with account handlers to develop appropriate solutions tailored to clients’ needs.
- Assist in negotiating with underwriters to secure optimal insurance terms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on company systems.
- Follow compliance procedures, including securing necessary approvals and maintaining client files.
- Build and maintain relationships with underwriters and internal stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends and developments to enhance offerings.
- Actively participate in personal development and adhere to regulatory requirements.
Who we’re looking for
- Proven experience in client-facing or operational support roles, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate documentation and maintain proper filing.
- Skilled IT abilities, including expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with internal and external collaborators.
- Capability to undertake and demonstrate competence in technical training as required by the industry regulator.
- Customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and decision-making abilities.
- Highly numerate and literate with good analytical skills.
- Effective time management, able to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Adaptable and resilient, able to respond positively to change.
- Commercially astute with the ability to build sustainable relationships.
- Works independently and proactively while supporting team goals.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are essential, A level Maths advantageous.
- A broking qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
