Working closely with analysts, Group Data and business stakeholders, you will help define the datasets and technical standards that underpin analytics delivery across Howden Markets. The role is centred on influence, enablement, and technical leadership.

What you'll be doing

Ensure views and semantic models are robust, well documented, and aligned to agreed business definitions and governance standards. Engage early in analytics initiatives to influence data structures and modelling decisions to enable effective downstream reporting.
  • Power BI & Databricks best practice: Define, embed and promote best practices for Power BI & Databricks, including transformation and modelling patterns, performance optimisation, workspace, capacity and tenant usage standards, and alignment with Group Data architecture. Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics engineering capability across the team. Peer review analytical solutions where required to ensure quality, consistency, and performance ahead of production. Provide timely technical input to support decision‑making and prevent issues before they escalate.
  • Collaboration & stakeholder engagement: Build strong working relationships with Howden Markets analysts, functional stakeholders and Group Data engineering and platform teams.
