Howden is seeking a dynamic, adaptable and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Shares and Equity team. You will focus on high quality shareholder data analysis and reporting, ensuring high levels of data quality control and presenting data suitable for key partners in the business. Please note this is a full-time, permanent role based in our London office. Following a hybrid work pattern, you are required to be onsite at least 3 days per week on average.
What will you be doing?
- Leverage reporting tools to gather and manipulate shareholder data, conducting comprehensive analyses to support the team and wider Howden management.
- Capture, manage, filter, cleanse and analyse large volumes of shareholder datasets.
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports to enable the team to monitor shareholder data and highlight insights to key partners within the business.
- Design and implement scalable dashboards that track key management information indicators and other appropriate performance indicators.
- Translate complex data requirements into easily digestible formats for diverse audiences.
- Work closely with the members of the team to drive data accuracy and quick response to specific analysis requests.
- Regularly audit data to identify and resolve discrepancies and help key users to audit their data and maintain data integrity.
- Identify data issues/risks and raise through the appropriate channels.
- Share knowledge and data expertise and techniques to build a data driven culture across the wider team.
- Ensure that data is accurately updated and maintained in any secondary systems used by the team.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a similar role, where you would have gained experience building and customising dashboards and reports. Ideally within a finance and/or shares team.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Familiarity with financial modelling and company shares (a plus, but not essential).
