(Senior) Commercial Compliance Officer
- To work with the DUAL UK Head of Compliance and Executive Leadership team in developing a strong compliance culture across the Commercial business units
- To be the lead business partner to the Commercial business units across DUAL UK
- To provide advice to the Commerical business units and liaise with them to implement and embed regulatory change
- To ensure that DUAL UK delivers good outcomes to its customers
Role overview
The role will be responsible for being the lead business partner to the Commercial business units across DUAL UK, reporting directly to the Head of Compliance.
The role involves a solid understanding of the FCA Handbook and Lloyd’s regulatory standards and their practical applicability to a range of business lines. At DUAL UK we work collaboratively to ensure we deliver good outcomes for customers and for our business and an ability to think commercially will be essential.
Role responsibilities
- To be a pro-active business partner and to provide timely and considered regulatory advice and guidance to the commercial business units. This will include but not be limited to:
- Licensing
- TOBAs
- ICOBS
- Product governance and Consumer Duty
- Conduct Risk
- Financial Promotions
- To manage the compliance onboarding process, reporting and annual reviews of ARs and IARs (and any other sub-delegated arrangements)
- To lead on the oversight of ARs and IARs (and any other sub-delegated arrangements) across the Commercial lines
- To manage the Training and Competence regime including review and development of content to enhance learning
- To lead on complaints handling for Commercial complaints
- To support the Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer with horizon scanning affecting Commercial business units and identification of emerging risks
- To work with the Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer in the development and implementation of any regulatory change requirements affecting commercial business units
- To provide Compliance support when needed to the TOBA onboarding process and oversight of DUAL UK’s broker arrangements
- To support in the production of Conduct Risk Committee papers in respect of commercial business MI
- To support in the Conduct Risk Manager (1LOD) in preparing all Commercial products for the Product Oversight Group
- To support the Head of Compliance with compliance policy reviews
- To support the business with carrier audits
Key requirements
- Strong experience working in general insurance compliance, preferably within Loyd’s and the London Market
- Expert technical knowledge
- Excellent relationship management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
