The Role
As an Account Technician, you will be an integral part of the Casualty team, providing crucial technical and administrative support to broking teams. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our insurance processes, enabling brokers to focus on client relationships and strategic objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with team members to set and prioritise key objectives.
- Consistently meeting agreed performance targets and deadlines.
- Preparing and processing slips, endorsements, and all supporting documentation with accuracy.
- Leading assigned projects and supplying to other team projects as needed.
- Providing accurate and timely management information to the Team Leader.
- Assisting in the preparation of detailed client and broking documentation.
- Processing slips, quotes, indications, and endorsements efficiently.
- Performing technical duties, including data entry and credit control.
- Staying informed of regulatory and legal changes that impact the role.
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records on the company's systems.
- Responding promptly to urgent issues as they arise.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with Business Units.
- Handling incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties.
- Handling client renewals and mid-term adjustments as required.
- Remaining up to date with industry, legal, and regulatory developments.
Who weβre looking for
- Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experienced in using key London Market insurance platforms.
- Skilled in preparing and processing slips and endorsements with accuracy.
- Capable of undertaking and demonstrating competence in technical training.
- Prior experience in insurance is essential.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work.
- Ability to work optimally within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths essential.
- A level Grade A-C (or equivalent).
