Howden – Corporate & Commercial is looking for a New Business Sales Executive to join the team in Chester. The role will partner with telesales, sales and account handlers to secure new corporate client accounts, manage pipelines, engage markets, attend client meetings, prepare notes and files, produce compliant documents, process systems, and discuss market strategies with other teams.
This is a full‑time, permanent position based in our Chester office, ideally onsite two days per week.
Overview

Knowledge
- Working knowledge of the main classes of General Insurance and the CII\’s Code of Ethics and GDPR
- Understanding of Howden product range, policy wordings and service standards
- Commitment to ongoing personal development via e‑learning, in‑house courses and professional qualifications to accrue required CPD points
Skills
- Minimum 2 years\’ experience in Commercial insurance
- Minimum 2 years sales experience
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of Acturis system essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Qualifications
- A levels (desirable)
- Cert CII and above (desirable)
