The Role

The Howden Re Political Violence and Terrorism team offers deep expertise in this complex and evolving space. The team have a market leading skill set spanning across all regions, products and client servicing requirements. The team have previously handled a wide variety of political violence and terrorism programmes ranging from the largest worldwide placements to smaller, regional programmes and have built a number of specialist and market leading analytics tools to best offer a structured and detailed bespoke response to our clients concerns.

What will you be doing?

  • Performing day-to-day broking.
  • Building and maintaining business relationships with clients.
  • Scheduling and attending meetings.
  • Helping clients articulate their current and future insurance needs.
  • Explaining policy terms to clients.
  • Developing strong relationships with Underwriters.
  • Negotiating policy terms and costs with insurance providers.
  • Ad hoc projects or duties related to this position.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience within an insurance/reinsurance broker, specifically within a Terrorism and PV background.
  • Strong ability to multitask and work on different accounts daily, to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand reinsurance/insurance policies/contracts/wordings.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

This role will be a full time role based in the office 4 days a week.
