As a Team Leader you will Motivate, coach and lead the team of Renewal Coordinators who are responsible for all aspects of the non-advice section of renewals, including system set up, applications, putting cases on risk, engaging with insurers and clients on discounts, cancellations and mid term adjustment. Identifying efficiencies and better ways of working to support the overall team exceeding rebroke and retention targets. whilst working with Sales Team Leaders and Team Manager to ensure client and commercial objectives are met.**Requirements*** Drive and determination* Attention to detail* Ability to spot problems, implement solutions and review effectiveness* Ability to motivate, inspire and coach for improved performance* First class communication and interpersonal skills* Flexibility and adaptability and the ability to work well under pressure* Ability to pre-empt under performance and quickly implement remedial action* Excellent system and process knowledge**Responsibilities*** Drive Coordinator performance through morning meetings, check in progress meetings and coaching* Identify areas of underperformance, challenge the status quo and implement new ways of working to provide more efficient service and better commercial outcomes* Balancing competing priorities of creating renewal lines and getting policies on risk, understanding both are important for delivering commercial success* Responsible for collating Coordinator performance figures and engaging the team on these metrics through morning meetings and individual catch ups* Motivating the team to achieve work targets, compliantly and with customer and commercial objectives at the forefront* Use own knowledge of products, systems and processes to challenge current performance and push team to new levels of efficiencies and commercial performance* Be the main voice for the non-advice section of the renewal journey, championing customer outcomes and working with Sales Team leaders to improve performance* Complete monthly 121s as agreed with the Team Manager* Deliver exceptional commination in both office and remote environments* Any other reasonable tasks required by the business* Take responsibility for own personal development in terms of understanding the business, regulation, and the insurance industry, acting in accordance with current regulatory procedures, keeping up to date with any changes and sharing this his knowledge with colleagues.* As an employee you are required to be aware of the Howden Life & Health data protection policy and in particular your obligation to keep all data safe.
