The Role
As an Assistant Client Money Manager, you will support the management of client money processes, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations, particularly CASS5. This part-time position involves assisting with financial processes, audits, and the development of client money procedures. Collaborating with the Client Money Manager and other teams, you'll play a vital role in maintaining operational accuracy and regulatory adherence.
What you'll be doing
- Administer client money processes in line with FCA CASS5 regulations.
- Assist in improving client money procedures and operating models.
- Support the production and distribution of Client Money Management Information (MI) pack.
- Assist with coordinating the annual client money audit.
- Help resolve audit and regulatory review actions related to client money.
- Review client money calculations with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update client money policies in collaboration with the IBA team.
- Assist with client money audits and maintain the central repository of CASS information.
- Stay informed on regulatory standards and ensure processes align with requirements.
Who we're looking for
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Organised able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive and willing to learn.
- Ideally working towards or holding an accountancy qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).
- Familiarity with FCA CASS 5 rules within the insurance sector is essential.
- Familiarity with IBA processes and an audit background is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong excel skills, including complex formulas and create pivot tables.
- Strong word and written communication skills.
