Responsibilities
- Assist with the production of IFRS consolidated results for monthly management accounts and quarterly interim financial statements for external partners.
- Assist with the production of annual statutory accounts and detailed note workings, including developing sustainability disclosures and climate‐related scenario modelling.
- Support group cash‐flow production and local entity IFRS15 reporting, assessing revenue recognition and transitioning new acquisitions.
- Assist with significant M&A accounting activity and onboarding of new acquisitions to the group.
- Maintain process notes for monthly, quarterly and annual processes.
- Review capex budget submissions and produce the group capex budget pack.
- Respond to ad‐hoc reporting requests from Treasury, Tax, M&A and Divisional Finance.
- Produce timely and accurate reporting packs, detailed monthly consolidation reconciliations, and suggest process and system improvements.
- Co‐ordinate efficiently with business partners throughout the month‐end cycle.
- Deliver high‐quality outputs presented concisely and clearly.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and relevant UK law.
- Prior experience of large multi‐currency group consolidation is a bonus.
- Experience in using OneStream or HFM, Unit4 or the ability to learn a reporting tool quickly.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality of deliverables.
- Strong planning skills and proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Professional scepticism and a drive for producing high‐quality work.
- Problem‐solving capability.
- Effective interpersonal skills and a team‐player attitude.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Index‐match, VLOOKUP) and data manipulation and analysis.
- Graduate level education (or equivalent).
- Qualified accountant with 2‐3 years PQE, ACA/CA(SA) or equivalent.
