The Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Handler/Analyst to join our Portfolio Plus team within the wider Global Financial Sponsors group. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in insurance, working alongside experienced professionals to support client servicing, working on innovative group insurance solutions, and business development. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth handling of renewals and new business, maintaining high standards of documentation, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Global Financial Sponsors has recently been established to service the insurance requirements of Private Equity clients and the Portfolio Plus team focuses on the placement and organisation of Private Equity backed businesses. This ranges from the coordination of annual insurance programmes through to the establishment of group policies across multiple businesses to achieve efficiencies for the private equity portfolio.
What you’ll do:
- Support the renewal and new business process by preparing accurate and timely documentation.
- Liaise with clients and brokers to gather information, resolve queries, and ensure satisfaction.
- Assist in the preparation and writing of annual insurance renewal reports.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in internal systems to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support product development and positioning.
- Monitor and report on pipeline activity to aid in planning and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with internal Howden team to ensure the timely placement of clients’ policies across multiple different lines of insurance.
- Assist in new business research projects, mapping out internal relationships with Private Equity owned businesses and searching for growth opportunities.
- Review and validate client documentation to support accurate quoting and risk assessment.
- Respond to internal and external queries in a timely and professional manner.
Who we’re looking for:
- A Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Client facing experience preferable.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport.
- An understanding of commercial lines of insurance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to support decision-making.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Calm and resilient under pressure, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Minimum A-levels; Degree desirable.
- LLMIT qualification (or willingness to obtain); working towards ACII is a plus.
